We are thrilled to announce the newest member of Women Winning’s team, Political Director, Josie Bradley! Josie brings a decade of political leadership and organizing expertise, as well as invaluable experience working to expand majorities and flip state legislatures. With every seat in the Minnesota House and Senate up for reelection next year due to redistricting, we couldn’t be more excited to have Josie join us in the essential work to protect and expand pro-choice women’s representation at the Minnesota Capitol — and at every level of government!
Josie comes to Women Winning from the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC), where she led the organization’s political strategy and program across the Midwest, including Minnesota. She also served as the 2016 Presidential Caucus Director for the Iowa Democratic Party and Field Director for the Iowa Senate Majority Fund. Previously, she ran field efforts for Illinois Rep. Cheri Bustos’s 2012 congressional campaign and worked in Wisconsin during the 2011 state senate recalls. Originally from northern Michigan, Josie graduated from Michigan State University with a dual degree in social policy and comparative politics, and got her start in politics organizing for renewable energy campaigns. She enjoys admiring pottery made by local artists, baking carrot cake, and spending time outdoors by any body of water. (We think she’ll feel right at home in the Land of 10,000 Lakes!)
As Women Winning’s Political Director, Josie will provide expert coaching to pro-choice women candidates across Minnesota, lead our formal candidate training series, liaise with Women Winning State and Federal PACs, oversee our Political Leaders of Tomorrow (PLOT) Training Program, and more. This is the hard work required to elect our best advocates — and we know Josie is ready to get the job done. Together, we will continue to change the face of power!
