We are thrilled to connect with you! This week we had our FIRST in-person event, requiring proof of full vaccination or negative COVID-19 test, since March 2020. It was so good to see people’s faces, laugh together, and share why each and every one of us is dedicated to the fight ahead.

We wanted to take a moment today to provide an update to Women Winning’s top supporters (you!), so you know what we’ve been up to in our work to unapologetically protect choice and change the face of power. We have been hard at work, our team has grown, and we have a lot on the horizon — watch this short video update from Meggie Wittorf, Women Winning President, and read more below!

Pro-choice women shattered ceilings, flipped seats, and saved majorities in the 2020 Election. But here’s the deal: We need to keep the momentum going, because reproductive rights are in jeopardy.

This fall, Trump’s anti-choice Supreme Court (elections have consequences) will hear an abortion rights case that will set the stage to gut Roe v. Wade, making state legislatures the final backstop to protect choice.

Because of redistricting, every seat in the Minnesota state government is up for election in 2022.This means that the 2022 Midterm Election will determine reproductive rights and its far-reaching impacts in Minnesota for generations to come. That’s why we need pro-choice women running for office and at all decision-making tables, and our powerful coalition behind them.

Pro-choice women have been on the front lines of saving our democracies with record-setting win-rates and turning out the vote. If you or a pro-choice woman you know is interested in running for office contact info@womenwinning.org.

With the 2022 Midterm Election coming up, we need our best advocates –pro-choice women– on the ballot and we must organize for them to protect reproductive rights in Minnesota.

To get started, join us at one of our upcoming Changemakers Hours!

Changemakers Hour is a time for pro-choice women (you!) interested in running for office or anyone interested in electing pro-choice women to gather and learn more about the 2022 Midterm Election. Our team is headed across the state for this six-part event series to meet pro-choice women ready for the work ahead and answer any questions you may have about what it means to run for office.

Sign up to join us at a Changemakers Hour near you and get ready to unapologetically change the face of power. For information on COVID-19 protocol, please visit here.

In addition to meeting with pro-choice women running for office in 2021, we’ve hosted several FREE candidate and campaign staff trainings this summer. These trainings help candidates and their teams plan out the phases of their campaigns — everything from their launch, to budgeting, to getting out the vote — so they have the tools and support they need to WIN.

Last week, we held our two-part Advanced Candidate Training for 2021 candidates and their teams as they prepare for the general election and GOTV. And earlier this year, we kicked off our 2022 candidate training series. The next Getting Started as a Candidate training is on September 24th and we’ll focus on how to launch your campaign amidst redistricting. If you or a pro-choice woman you know is looking to get started, sign up here!

Pro-choice women win with the help and support of leaders, advocates, and organizers. Women Winning’s Political Leaders of Tomorrow (PLOT) Training Program helps pro-choice Minnesotans acquire the tools and connections needed to be a political leader in the state.

Our current PLOT cohort is in their final month of this year’s program and we wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to each and every one of the participants, who have gained hands-on experience on municipal and state legislative campaigns. This coalition is READY to keep fighting, to keep pushing, and is already leading. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to changing the face of power. We are so excited to see what you will do next!

Our team has already been digging deep and connecting with pro-choice women across the state who are interested in running for office. And to make sure we have the capacity we need, we’re thrilled to be hiring a Deputy Political Director to join our team! If you or a talented leader you know is interested, learn more here and apply!

We’re looking for an energetic and innovative leader with a passion for this work and a drive to increase the impact of Women Winning’s political programming. This person will be focused on growing our Statewide Candidate Recruitment and Development Program, Political Leaders of Tomorrow (PLOT) training program, and Women Winning’s organizing efforts to ensure pro-choice women victories.

Our team is ready for the fight and we know you are too. Apply or share the Deputy Political Director job description — the deadline to apply is Monday, August 16th.
