Women Winning is Minnesota’s largest women’s political organization. Our mission is to recruit, train, and elect pro-choice women to all levels of public office, from Park Board to President of the United States. Women Winning’s robust candidate support services are provided completely free-of-charge, breaking down barriers to running for office and electing our best advocates.
Women Winning is a 501c4 organization with a State and a Federal PAC. Over the past 39 years, Women Winning has raised millions of dollars and supported thousands of pro-choice women candidates.
Position Overview & Responsibilities:
Women Winning is seeking a Marketing Director who is inspired by and passionate about the mission of Women Winning. This individual is a strong written and verbal communicator, proactive, highly organized and detail-oriented, and immersed in current events and the advancement of women’s power.
The Marketing Director is focused on increasing Women Winning’s reach, while overseeing a communications and events plan aimed at growing and diversifying the Women Winning movement. From emails to events, the Marketing Director ensures an inclusive and engaging environment for pro-choice women across Minnesota, be it a first-time candidate, volunteer, or donor. The Marketing Director reports to the President and leads all marketing efforts, while supporting the advancement and political efforts of Women Winning. Responsibilities include:
Develop and implement Women Winning communications strategy across channels; shape organizational core messaging and embody Women Winning voice; establish communications calendar
Bring to life the power of pro-choice women leaders and Women Winning political training, endorsements, and electoral success
Create and design all original content, including “always on” email and social media content, newsletters, printed material, and website
Lead digital and direct mail fundraising programs, from content creation to execution
Maintain and update Women Winning website; owner of organizational communication systems (email)
Serve as main media contact; author and distribute press releases; pitch press, prepare talking points, and coordinate interviews
Ensure internal and external communications are consistent with Women Winning brand standards
Partner with the Development Director to develop and implement strategies around fundraising, events, and list building
Collaborate with Development and Political teams to plan, oversee, and execute 35+ trainings/leadership development, fundraising, movement-building, and volunteer events each year
Create all original event materials, including promotional materials, slides, and video
Serve as logistics lead for Women Winning events, including clear communications with guests and participants; ensure excellent guest experience and smooth, professional programs; implement donor benefits and gratitude protocols
Serve as staff lead of LAUNCH Committee, Women Winning young professional committee
Work with and support the President, including providing strategic counsel and assistance with special projects as needed
Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in related position; or a similar combination of experience and education

Excellent interpersonal skills and superb judgement; must be creative and resourceful
Demonstrates both strong strategic planning skills and executional follow-through
Demonstrates excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Experience planning and/or implementing events; comfort with using databases and information management systems (e.g. EveryAction/NGP)
Technologically savvy; experience with website management, design (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), and video editing software (e.g. iMovie, FinalCut Pro)
Hours: Full Time; regular business hours, plus occasional night and weekend commitments
Compensation: Base salary range is $60,000 – $80,000. Final offer compensation and level will be commensurate with experience.
