Kara Gloe is a first-time candidate running for the Moorhead School Board (District 157). As a mother of young children in the district, Gloe is passionate about educational equity. She recently organized a fundraiser that raised more than $4,000 for the Moorhead School Legacy Foundation’s Food for Thought program, which helped provide children with equal access to snack breaks and hot lunches. When elected, Gloe will continue to fight for fair nutrition programs for students, regardless of their parents' abilities to pay. She will also work to ensure that all children have buses to the programming offered by the Moorhead School System. Gloe looks forward to helping shape the future of Moorhead Schools with creative thinking and policies that highlight children's individual learning styles, so that all children can reach their full potential.
