Nancy Robinett is a first-time candidate running for the St. Anthony Village City Council. As an immigration lawyer with a passion for civic engagement, Robinett notably chaired the City of Tucson Commission on LGBT Issues and received Tucson's “Extraordinary Citizen” award in 2006 for her efforts. More recently, she has been involved in St. Anthony Village in grassroots activism around police accountability issues related to the shooting death of Philando Castile. Nancy is running because she thinks that she is the best candidate to lead the city forward through responsible development and changes to their police department in size and scope. She will bring an open communication style, as well as a desire for accountability and transparency to the Village.
