Raeisha Williams is running to represent Ward 5 as a member of the Minneapolis City Council. Raeisha is a former Ward 2 Coordinator for the Mayor’s Office of Washington, D.C., and the Director of Communications for the Minneapolis NAACP. With her years of experience in advocacy and communication, Raeisha pledges to the community that she will work for economic development, affordable housing, education, and community engagement for the benefit of all Fifth Ward residents, businesses, and community organizations. As a fourth generation African-American Minnesotan raised in South Minneapolis, Raeisha hopes to continue give back to the community that has invested so much in her.
