Jennifer is running for her first re-election to the Minnesota State House. She is currently an associate professor of Economics and the director of the Healthcare Management Program at the University of Minnesota - Duluth. She has a strong research background on healthcare and associated costs in both the public and private sectors. It is clear that Jennifer will make affordable and accessible healthcare a priority as a state representative. Jennifer says, “Healthcare should not bankrupt families, our state or country. Healthcare is a critical issue for families, and Minnesota must get this right.” Jennifer has worked with various community organizations, such as Education Minnesota, Generations Healthcare Initiatives, Minnesota Citizens Federation, and the Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation to stay in tune with the priorities of her community, especially the working families that are the engines of Minnesota’s economy.
