Sheila is running for reelection as Olmstead County District 6 Commissioner. Before becoming Comissioner, Sheila served four terms in the Minnesota Senate from 1993-2006. She is a community volunteer and leader in Rochester, having founded the Beat the Odds Scholarship Program at Rochester Community and Technical College, launched the Rochester Issues Forum, and formed the local Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Program. As a member of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce, Sheila is in touch with the needs of local business owners and a successful champion of Rochester and Olmstead County initiatives. Sheila is an advocate for balanced budgets, respect for personal rights, and limiting the intrusion of government into personal choices.
