Sherry is running for reelection for Eden Prairie City Council. Sherry previously served on the Council from 1997-2008 and has currently been serving again since 2011. She is currently the Dean of Academic Affairs for Anoka Technical College. Sherry’s priorities include smart spending, preserving natural resources, supporting the business community, maintaining parks and trails, and celebrating Eden Prairie as a reputable community. Local government issues can be complex, but Sherry is a dedicated and quick learner, a collaborative leader, and an innovative problem-solver. As a community activist, Sherry and a group of neighborhood moms worked to shut down a nearby polluted landfill and garner reparations. As a councilor, Sherry and her fellow city council members have worked for public amenities like a new aquatic center to be completed by 2016, AAA bond ratings, generous park land, and road upgrades and maintenance, to name a few. Sherry is a proud resident of Eden Prairie, having lived there for over 30 years, and reminds us that the city of Eden Prairie has (repeatedly!) been selected by Money Magazine as one of the top 10 cities to work and live in. Sherry dedicates herself to the maintenance of this ideal.
