Emily Anne Tuttle

Emily Anne Tuttle was elected Minnesota's first female DFL state senator in 1977 and was a founding member of the Minnesota Women's Economic Roundtable. She was elected to the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners in 1992, and in 1998, she served on Governor Jesse Ventura's transition advisory panel. She was also instrumental in organizing the first Minnesota Women's Political Caucus, the first Women's Institute for Social Change and the United Nations Association of Minnesota.
