Robin Sternberg’s career spans 20-plus years, in which she has served in several leadership and management roles in both non-profit and for profit businesses.  Most recently, she was appointed by Governor Dayton as the Director of the Governor’s Job Creation Initiative. Robin’s role is to help provide strong coordination and continuity between the Department of Employment and Economic Development and the Governor’s Office and to develop strategies that will advance the economy and promote business and job growth in the state.  Previous positions include Vice President of External Relations at Great Neighborhoods Development Corporation and Business Development Director at Minnesota Public Radio. Robin has been actively involved in campaign and fundraising work for political candidates including Dayton, Obama and Klobuchar and was an elected national delegate for President Obama. She has served on the Minneapolis YWCA and MN Children’s Museum Boards. Robin holds an MBA in International Management from the University of St. Thomas and is a graduate in Business Administration at Southern Methodist University. She is married to David Sternberg and has three children.
