womenwinning: Minnesota Women's Campaign Fund is seeking interns for the 2010 Fall Term (September-December).

The womenwinning interns perform a variety of activities which include:

conducting research on women running for state and local public office in Minnesota assisting staff with event planning related to Annual Young Women's Event: Wine Cheese & Choice (February), Annual Event in June, community outreach, and general office staffing.

Required to apply: Commitment to electing pro-choice women across party lines; proven skills; attention to detail. Position is unpaid, but assistance will be offered to fulfill undergraduate academic credit requirements, although interns do not have to be college students.

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis. Final deadline for Fall 2010 internships is August 3, 2010

- womenwinning is a political nonprofit organization dedicated to encouraging, promoting, and expanding support for pro-choice women's leadership in all political parties and levels of Minnesota public office.

- womenwinning members also run two political action committees, including the largest women's nonpartisan state and local PAC in the country.

- Like many women's organizations, womenwinning was founded at the end of the Second Wave Feminist Movement. Unlike some, it lasted through the "backlash" of the 1980s.  Just past its 27th Anniversary with an expanded mission to continue making progress for women in the changing political landscape, womenwinning offers the opportunity to study the long-term success of a women's movement organization, working for the next generation and into the next millennium.

Womenwinning  is located in Saint Paul, near the corner of University Avenue and Raymond Avenue.
