County Attorney

Tammy PustTammy Pust for Ramsey County Attorney

An experienced prosecutor and proven leader, Tammy Pust is the best choice for Ramsey County Attorney.  Tammy has 27 years of experience in the courtroom and in local and state government.  She has been elected to the Roseville City Council twice, prosecuted for four years for the City of Golden Valley, was the Director of Children’s Policy and an Assistant Attorney General under Skip Humphrey, and served as an Assistant Commissioner of the state education agency – all the while serving as a full-time mom and a leader in her community.

Tammy's unique qualifications make her the best candidate for this job. She has the real-world experience it takes to Prosecute Offenders and keep repeat and violent criminals off our streets. She has worked for decades toProtect the Vulnerable, including children, seniors and the disabled, and will continue to do so by pursuing enhanced sentences for domestic violence and financial exploitation offenses. For years she has managed public resources and staff in efforts to Prevent Crime, and knows how to forge partnerships with schools, courts and community organizations to target resources toward efforts that keep kids in the classroom and out of the courtroom.

Tammy is the only candidate running a non-partisan campaign in this race for a non-partisan office, now being vacated by Susan Gaertner.

Former Office: Pust has served on the Roseville City Council as a womenwinning supported candidate since 2005.

Melanie Ford

Melanie Ford, St. Louis County Attorney

Melanie was the first woman elected to St Louis County Attorney in 2006 and hopes to continue to serve the citizens of St. Louis County. Ford’s top issues include public safety, equal justice, protecting children and the most vulnerable citizens while cutting costs and retaining quality work. In her tenure she has worked hard to prosecute cases promptly, in order to keep the public safe and hold criminals accountable.  She has led efforts to keep children in school, with programs for tutoring chronically truant students and programs for keeping kids in the classroom and away from drugs and crime. She has prioritized equal treatment in the justice system and to reduce the disproportionate number of children of color in detention.
