Lori Swanson (DFL) Minnesota Attorney General

Lori Swanson was elected as Minnesota’s first female Attorney General in 2006. Swanson has been recognized nationally for her work and was named one of the top 10 attorneys in America in 2009 by Lawyers USA. In 2009, she was awarded the Pro Patria Award for her support of National Guard and Reserve members. The Drum Major Institute of New York cited Lori’s predatory mortgage lending legislation as one of the ten best public policies in the country in 2007. Swanson believes that the Attorney General should be a strong consumer protector and has worked hard to ensure women and families are protected from economic fraud.
