Dear supporter,

It was crystal clear at our Annual Event that we had struck a chord.  As political discourse becomes increasingly divisive many of us are left wondering, "where are the women?"  We wonder how this legislative session - both in Washington and Saint Paul - might have looked different had there been gender parity in government. 

Preparing for 2012, we have launched a Statewide Recruitment Program to recruit, coach and elect pro-choice women to all levels of office across Minnesota.  Our political partners are feeding us names from their memberships and providing an initial trusted reference helping us build our pipeline of women candidates ready to run in 2012.  Our political director is traveling across the state from Duluth to Willmar persuading local women leaders that it is their time to run.

Supporter Spotlight - Mary Lee Dayton

Mary Lee has been a invaluable member of womenwinning for many years. Her involvement with womenwinning and her support has grown as the organization has grown. We cannot thank Mary Lee enough for her transformational gift this year to the Statewide Recruitment Program. Mary Lee believes the mission of womenwinning is more critical than ever as the political climate in our state and our country becomes more toxic to women and families. We thank Mary Lee for her vision and generosity.
